Mt. Diablo with Noah on Memorial Day

random trip report

Noah and I had the day to ourselves to we decided to climb Mt. Diablo.

The forecast was for cool temps but it turned out to be warm-ish (mid-70s) so we both took off our T-shirts.

Compared to our last climb here we both had worse biorhythms/energy, so the hike seemed about 30% longer and more difficult. At Prospector Gap I proposed turning around, but Noah declined (turning around is not his thing) so we continued to the summit even though we both knew we'd be exhausted on the descent. Actually it wasn't that bad.

There was no ice cream at the gift shop :-(

Injury report: no sciatic pain, but my toes were sore.
