David Rockower invited me to stay at his dad's condo in South Lake Tahoe. On Friday Erica and I drove up, passing some pro-war (or at least, 'pro-troop') demonstrations in Placerville.

On Saturday we stopped at the 7-11

and rode up in the gondola

and skied at Heavenly. It was warm and the snow was slushy; perhaps the last weekend of the season. I gave Erica an intro lesson. There was a bit of a learning curve but by the end of the day she was tearing up the bunny slope.

At lunch there was wonderful musical entertainment.

Dave and I took off in the PM and did some black diamonds.

Then we went home and cooked a nice dinner with salmon

and a delicious strawberry pie

On Sunday I climbed the hill on the north side of Kingsbury Grade, including a small V0 bouldering problem at the peak. Then Erica and I drove to Emerald Bay, hiked up to the falls, and did a little scrambling on the north side.
